Why "The Rooted Belly"

I established The Rooted Belly back in 2018 as a creative outlet for plant-based recipes I was making while completing a professional culinary program. At the time, the name was a playful nod to all the wholesome, earth-grown ingredients I was eating.  As the years unfolded, I realized the name held a much deeper significance than initially intended.

 

Today, in 2026, those words resonate with a newfound connection and purpose. To me, being rooted represents the deep-seated wisdom of our gut instinct—that vital inner compass located at our physical center that guides us through every transition.

 

As I navigate the unique shifts and complexities of menopause, I find myself returning to this foundation of intuitive health. Food and how I fuel my body is still a big part of what the rooted belly is all about...but it is also so much more.

 

The Rooted Belly has evolved into a dedicated space where I can document my own journey of self-care, strength, and evidence-based intuitive discoveries during this transformative stage of life.

 

My mission is to gather and share meaningful insights that empower women to listen to their bodies and thrive through these changes. I am so glad you have joined me here so we can explore, grow, and master this phase of aging together
